Video Clips
The sound quality on these clips is variable... but it's the best we have at the moment! If you want to hear what we really sound like, why not look out for us playing at an event near you? Our gig list for this year is here.
Here we are performing on Old Elvet Bridge at the Durham Brass Festival 2013. It was a scorcher of a day - if you look closely you can see small pools of melted musician on the pavement....

One of the events we really enjoy is the Tyneside Cyrenians' Christmas Party, which takes place every year under the railway arches in Newcastle city centre. This is a chance for people to gather for good music, warming food and a hot drink, and to sing and dance along with local bands.
Here's a clip from a BBC Look North feature, which includes us performing at the 2011 gathering. There was some tremendous dancing going on! |
We went to Blaydon Races, 'twas on the ninth of Joon!!!
Indeed, Tenth Avenue Band goes every year to welcome runners as they reach the end of this 10km road race along the banks of the River Tyne. The event isn't complete without a verse or seven of the eponymous folk song itself.... |
Here's a rather windswept Tenth Avenue Band at the Green Festival in Leazes Park Newcastle. We had to don our raincoats and shelter under a tree to avoid the rain, but we just about got away with it (at least none of the amps exploded!)
This tune is 'Night Train', originally recorded by Duke Ellington & His Orchestra. |
This is an old video montage from way back in 2008 (don't we all look young?!). The band regularly busks at the busy quayside markets in Newcastle Upon Tyne, which is where we're playing in this clip.
